My name is Jill and I'm a female, 6 month old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. I'm from Louisiana and was found in a parking lot alongside my brother. Despite being abandoned, my love for humans is immense. My foster family in Maine says I give the best snuggles.
I tolerate a crate but prefer to be with my people. I'm great on a leash, great in public places, friendly and social. I walk in home depot like I've been doing it for years. I jump in and out of the car and love car rides. I'm calm, relaxed, and loving. I'm learning to get used to other small animals like cats and birds, but they are very interesting. I have a slight prey drive that makes listening a little hard when it comes to smaller animals. I do okay with other dogs but am a bit bossy and prefer to be dominant. When it comes to playing nice, I’m good at that.
My energy level is moderate to high as most puppies are. I will play hard then crash! I love digging holes to cool down in and playing in the water ♡ Kiddie pools on a nice warm day are the best! My foster mom says my blue eyes and pink nose will pull on your heart strings. Whoever adopts me is one lucky duck, I'm a perfect best friend.

If you are interested in adopting Jill, click at the link below: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html

Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.

If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.

Jill’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. If the dog is too young for a spay/neuter then they will be adopted with a spay/neuter contract and deposit. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
