My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vincent is a kitty who has a serious side, a playful side, an inquisitive side and most of all a cuddly side. When Vincent sees or hears something new in the room he has to go and check it out, of course he does this very tentatively until he knows it is safe and fun. Vincent will sit very patiently while he waits for you to pick him up and carry him around while he rests his head on your shoulder. He loves to be a passenger in his humans arms while they walk around and do simple things. Then when you sit down he love to come over and climb on your lap and take a nap, though if your too wiggly he will happily nap right next to you on the arm of the sofa, as long as he is able to touch you with his paw or rest his head on you.

He has two great kitties friends that would be ideal to be adopted with him, but if 3 is too much, one would be great as well so he has someone to play with. He loves his litter mate Tallulah, she brings out his playful antics indeed and he also loves another kitty from his foster home and her name is Eloise, she is about 1 week older. They all three play wonderfully together and have been known to fall asleep on each other in a kitty nap pile.

Vincent gets along with other cats but seems to be afraid of larger dogs, not sure how he would do with smaller dogs. He has perfect litter box manners as well. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
