My story

Nice to meet you! I am Schroeder and am rarely seen without my brother, Linus so I would LOVE if we could be adopted together. I am the handsome black and white fellow that you see pictured here and am always in my tuxedo for the purrfect occasion (which is usually just cuddling with my brother and my humans). I am the cuddliest and most outgoing of my siblings. I get along great with all of the other cats, dogs and kids at my fosters house. I especially enjoy playing with the kids and even following them around since I have learned that I usually manage to get a special treat from them if I do! I am looking for a home where me and my brother, Linus, will get plenty of play time but also plenty of cuddles and all the love from our human(s)! Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
