My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💖 Meet Trigger: The Sweet, Opinionated Hound!
Prepare for a lot of love—and a few laughs—with Trigger, a charming and sweet 80-pound Bloodhound mix! This handsome boy is a big, lovable companion who is ready to dedicate himself to his forever family.

Trigger is wonderfully expressive; he's a classic hound who loves to "chat" and share his opinions with his people! He is friendly and affectionate, but he has the size and spirit of a young dog, and he's looking for a family who is excited to help him succeed. Trigger will thrive with strong, confident owners who view training as a fun bonding experience! With consistent, positive guidance, this smart boy will quickly master his basic skills.

Trigger's Perfect Match:
Dog Friends: He's a social guy who loves to play with other dogs, though his style is definitely rough and rowdy! He needs canine companions who enjoy a good, full-contact romp.

The Big Ask: Trigger needs a home free of cats.

The Adopter: Someone ready to provide structure, love, and leadership. If you're excited about continued training and ready for a chatty, loyal best friend, Trigger is eager to meet you!

Open your home to Trigger and gain a sweet, funny, and deeply devoted friend who will happily fill your house with his opinions and love!

More about this shelter

At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
