Our local Subaru dealer in conjunction with Fort Wayne Humane hosted a pet adoption June 2019 for a rescue shelter in Texas with more pets than they could support.
My late husband and I went just to look and Riley, a black and white ball of fur, came home with us.
Riley quickly became a brother to our rescue dog, Joey, and a thorn in the side of Samatha, our calico cat. He was comfort to my husband as his illness progressed.
Riley is 4 years old, very active, excitable, goofy, affectionate, smart, and totally devoted to me.
Because I love him so much, I know that I cannot give him what he deserves. As a single person I have a home, 2 dogs, a cat and myself to take care of. Joey and Samatha are older and neither would do well in a new household.
If Riley has a safe place to run, possibly children to play with and other fur babies around, he will thrive.
He also needs parents who can teach him good behavior, beyond what I have taught.
You needs grooming on a regular basis.
