Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Finnley James (nickname Finn) is an 8 year old (born 7/6/2015) very sweet boy who is looking for a new home where he can get LOTS of human attention and affection. He currently has an over grooming problem brought on by stress because of separation anxiety and not being able to be with his human family members as much as he needs and wants. The perfect home for Finn will be one where someone is home often because his family works from home or is retired. He has never lived with children or dogs before but he has lived with several other cats. As long as another cat in the home is friendly and gentle, he should adjust easily with them.
Finn’s name has a very fun source – when he was born he was the first of his litter to walk/crawl and he reminded his human mama of a shark. Shark then became Finn and then it was lengthened to Finnley since that went better with his middle name of James. Can you tell how creative his human parents were?
Finn prefers to sit on your chest or be held rather than just sit on your lap. He also loves being brushed and as his family says “if it was a professional sport, he would be a millionaire.” It’s a great time for bonding. Finn loves his people so much that he may cry when they leave the room and he will probably follow someone into the bathroom if allowed. He also is a great kneader and he even makes “air biscuits” when he gets belly rubs.
He may hide when people visit but once he knows he is safe and recognizes your voice, he will come out. He may sometimes give a few nibbles if he gets petted too much so it will be helpful to watch his cues. Finn likes chasing stuffed mice and string toys. He loves being picked up usually and he likes to sleep between people if they will let him.
Can you help provide a new home for this boy where he will get LOTS of attention so he will stop over grooming? You will be rewarded for it with a very loving, happy boy.
