Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kaya is a striking tortoiseshell cat with a big personality and an expressive tail that says everything she’s thinking. Originally found as a stray kitten, she settled well into her previous home but was recently returned due to changing family circumstances.
Kaya can become easily overstimulated, especially with lots of petting or sudden changes in her environment, and she tends to warm up on her own terms. Once given time to decompress, she becomes social, talkative, and seeks out attention, though she still appreciates interactions that are calm and respectful.
Kaya would do best in a patient, predictable home with children ages 7+ who can read feline body language and avoid overwhelming her. She has no experience with other cats and will need a slow introduction, and she must go to a home with no dogs, as she did not do well with them previously. With a family who understands her sensitivities, Kaya will shine as a loving and engaging companion.
My adoption fee is $125 and includes the following:
-Spay/neuter surgery
-All current vaccinations
-Microchip
-FREE wellness exam through VCA Animal Hospitals
-$25 gift voucher from our friends at My Pet Market

Lost Our Home Pet Rescue requires each potential adopter to fill out an application. We also ask our adopters to sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee at the time of adoption. These requirements help us to ensure a positive outcome for everyone involved, including our pets, as well as to continue to help other needy pets. We will also do periodic follow-ups and offer help with any post-adoption issues that might arise.
