GEROGE is a super chill 11-year-old dachshund who loves lounging with his people, when not moseying around searching for dropped crumbs.   

George is deaf & vision impaired (sees shadows), but navigates his environment well thanks to his very functional dachshund nose.    He loves spending time with you, either at your feet or on your lap.

He tolerates other small dogs & even the occasional cat, but would rather be your one & only retirement buddy.   George is OK on a leash, so an apartment would be acceptable to him... though he will need a lift up any stairs (doesn't every prince deserve that?).

GEORGE is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore.

An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link --  https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption

Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt.   The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit.
