Maxwell is a 1-year Jack Russell mix and such a handsome boy! He has a shiny beautiful coat and stands with his paws turned out like a dancer. The brown markings on his eyebrows are just the cutest!
Maxwell loves to be by people and have lots of attention! He would love a family that can give home lots of exercise and play time! It would be great from Maxwell to have a fenced in yard where he can run and play. He is very tiny though, so fence slats will have to be pretty close together so he doesn’t wiggle out.
Because of his small stature, he would do better in a home with kids over 12. Young kids seem to make him nervous and he will nip. So far Maxwell hasn’t had any accidents in the house. It seems like he is fully housebroken. His leash skills are getting better and he enjoys walking around the neighborhood.
Maxwell does jump up when he is excited. He seems to have separation anxiety and wants to be very close to his people at all times. He does not like his crate or to be left alone. An experienced dog owner who can be home with Maxwell most of the day would be best. He does seem like a very smart boy who would be able to respond well to training.
So far his favorite spot is looking out of the screen door with the breeze in his face and watching any action he sees outside. Once he gets tired he likes to lay in the warm sunlight.
