Here's what the humans have to say about me:
2008 Grade Kentucky Mountain Horse Mare, 13.3h
Honey is a cute yet stubborn little mare with a mind of her own. Honey’s ground manners and handleability are being worked on from the ground before she is assessed under saddle, but she does show promise of having a riding career with time and patience. Unfortunately, Honey has foundered before coming to KYEAC so she will require a dry lot to prevent this issue from flaring up. Due to Honey’s current behavior, she will be best suited for a trainer-type home so she can continue to learn to respect boundaries.
ON MEDICAL HOLD: Honey had surgery for founder on 8/21/23. She will likely be companion only with a possibility to be very lightly rideable after she is healed and recovered.
*At KYEAC, we require adopters to complete an inspection on the adopted horse 6 and 12 months following adoption. To ensure adopters comply with their inspections, a $250 deposit is required on all horses priced under $2,000, and a $500 deposit is required on all horses priced at $2,000 and up. This deposit is already calculated into the adoption fee. If the adopter complies with the inspections, this deposit will be fully refunded after the requirements of the 6 and 12-month inspection have been met to our satisfaction. If the adopter does not comply with their inspections, their deposit will be forfeited.
