Meet Bubba! This big boy is as special as a unicorn, and is looking for an equally special family to love him just the way he is. We call that a "unicorn adoption"- could you be Bubba's unicorn?!

Bubba is a friendly and charming five-year-old Bulldog. He is always happy to meet a new friend and will plop his big head on your leg for pets and love. He's happy to give kisses and yeah, they come with a little (ok, a lot) of drool. ;-) Bubba has a moderate energy level and would love a yard in his forever home, so he can sniff and explore in the sunshine. When he's not busy outside, he will be right by your side keeping you company. Bubba loves to be involved in all things you are doing, and keep an eye on all the goings-on. He would do best with a family that is home more often than not.

Bubba has quite a few medical needs that his forever family should be committed to upkeeping. To start, Bubba is incontinent and needs to wear diapers. He will require changes multiple times a day to keep him clean and infection free. Bubba is used to this process and will happily hop in the tub for a cleaning/change, in exchange for a biscuit. Because of his incontinence, Bubba is prone to urinary tract infections and may require antibiotics periodically throughout his life. Bubba also requires a special prescription diet, as he has very sensitive digestion.

Adoption fees are dependent on the age and breed of the animal as well as monthly or seasonal promotions. Please inquire directly as to fee of any animal you're interested in. We do require meet & greets and adopter to be present in person and provide valid id.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.
