Here's what the humans have to say about me:
One look at Bear Bear and you can’t help but Care-Care!
Meet Bear Bear the Siberian Husky – Cana, Virginia: despite his striking good-looks, 5+ year old and 51 lb Bear Bear has not had an easy life. Poor Bear Bear was found in a terrible situation – his previous “owners” mistreated him; they were seen kicking him and even taking a Taser to him. A Good Samaritan witnessed this and knew that Bear Bear needed safety immediately – even though they did not have room nor resources for Bear Bear, they could not leave him to be abused! This heart-felt foster home already has dogs that do not get along with other dogs, so even though Bear Bear is dog friendly, it is a difficult situation to keep him separated from them. After what he has endured, Bear Bear needs a foster or adopter as soon as possible so that he can begin living the full life that he deserves!
Bear Bear sure is one handsome husky, with the contrast of his white and black fur framing the most beautiful ice-blue eyes. Behaviorally, Bear Bear is precious: a mellow guy who likes his outdoor time and is friendly to everyone he meets. He is also UTD on his vaccinations, neutered, and was just an absolute doll at the vet’s office, completely non-reactive when another dog growled at him. As we watch him open up to his foster mom and be the very best boy, it is so sad to know what he has been through. Thankfully, Bear Bear is physically safe and no longer suffering abuse, but being kept segregated from the other dogs is not an ideal situation for him either. AmsterDog is working to find him a foster or adopter who can give Bear Bear the simple necessities he needs to experience a safe, cozy home and the love that he so sadly missed out on for the first 5 years of his life.
If you can open your heart and home to gorgeous Bear Bear, please call/text inquiries to 917-689-8414, email info@amsterdog.org, or get the ball rolling with an application to foster at AmsterDog.org!
Thank you for your care for this sweet Bear!
