This sweet, inseparable pair shares a connection that’s both heartwarming and inspiring. Once raised in a shelter with limited socialization, they’ve grown to rely on each other for comfort and confidence. Annie is the more reserved of the two, but don’t let her shyness fool you—when she’s with Abilene, her world begins to open up.

Abilene is a bright spark with those fabulous ears and an irresistibly gentle charm. Once she warms up, she’s full of playful energy and loves romping with other dogs. Her cheerful spirit is contagious, and she’s sure to bring joy wherever she goes.

Annie, the quieter sister, looks to Abilene for reassurance and encouragement. With Abilene’s steady companionship, Annie is learning to trust, explore, and find joy in new experiences. Together, they strike the perfect balance—Abilene leads with confidence, and Annie follows with growing curiosity.

These girls are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They’re a beautiful blend of loyalty, love, and double the affection—and they’re ready to find a forever home that will cherish them both.

1.
Submit Application

You can find our application at www.mostlymuttz.org.

2.
Home Check

All persons living in the household are required to be present.

3.
Approve Application

You will receive an approval email from our organization within several days of having your home visit completed.

4.
Meet the Pet

You will be able to adopt at this meeting if it is a match.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary based on dog. We accept cash, PayPal or Venmo. The contract will also be signed at this time.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Congratulations on your new family member!

The Initial review of your application will occur within 72 hours.

Please contact your vet authorizing them to release information to us.
Also, let your references know we’ll be calling.

Once your references have been contacted, someone will contact you to schedule a home visit.
After your home visit you will receive an email informing you of your approval.

Schedule a meet/adoption. You will be able to finalize your adoption of the dog at this meeting.

Please read your contract thoroughly before the meeting.

You will be required to send an update at 2 weeks, 6 months, and annually. The email addresses for those updates will be at the bottom of the contract.

If it has been determined that training is a requirement for the dog you’re adopting this will be noted on the contract. You will be required to submit verification of training completion.

Payment by cash is due at the time of adoption. If you choose to use PayPal, payment should be made prior to the meeting/adoption. You will need to forward the electronic email you receive from PayPal, to mostlymuttz@gmail.com to confirm your payment before the meeting/adoption.

Adoption Fees:

Altered puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $525

Unaltered puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $450 (A $100 sterilization deposit is required in addition to fee. This is refunded upon verification of altering.)

Adults (1yo-7yo): $375

Seniors (7+ years old): $250

Adult dogs who have been with us for over 6 months: $188

We believe that every dog, regardless of health, deserves at least a fighting chance to live, to love and to be loved for the entirety of their life. At Mostly Muttz Rescue, we often choose to save dogs suffering from curable illnesses within the shelter system rather than rescuing dogs that will be easy to place.
