Skeeter is a petite, 30 pound foxhound who came to us from a shelter in the southern part of the state. At around two years old (or less), this little sweetheart has the rest of her life to be your dedicated daughter! Though she was obviously not well cared for in the past, Skeeter is gaining weight and looking better every day! She is kind and affectionate and good with other dogs. No cats, please.
Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
