My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Moby is a wonderful Aussie/Fox terrier mix, we think. She came to us with several pups on a rescue flight a few months ago! This cutie is now about 10 months old and just ready to become a good dog in an active household. Moby has been with us since September 2023 and she would really like a home of her own. She is very bonded with the staff here due to her length of time with us so she is going to need some patience by her new owner to get her love transferred to them. Once that happens, she will be a loyal companion. She gets along well with other dogs and has had a variety of roommates while at the shelter. She is great playing outdoors in our play yard and has also been on leash walks. Moby also seems to love water so water sports might be right up her alley! Moby is up to date for her age on vaccinations, is micro-chipped and has been spayed. Moby's adoption fee is $150. Our adoption fees do vary depending on the animal and all pets go to new owners already spayed and neutered, vaccinated and wormed. All adopters are given a two week adoption trial with an exchange guarantee if the animal does not work out. We require a completed adoption application, which is on line on our website, and a signed care contract. All pets go out with a copy of their signed agreement and a copy of their medical record. Fees for adult cats are $60-75 and kittens are $75. Fees for dogs are $125 to $200 for adult mixed breed up to $300 for purebred, small dog puppies.

Go meet their pets

TRACS offers appointments daily 1-5 PM during the week excluding Mondays to see and meet adoptable pets. Tracs also adopts cats and kittens from Petsmart in Missoula, Montana. We have adoption days for dogs and cats at Petsmart additionally about 6 times a year. We also attend annual adoption events in the Missoula and Kalispell areas of Montana.

TRACS has been in operation for 7 years and we have taken in and adopted out 3000 animals (as of 11/1/2013). We are mostly volunteers and pride ourselves on the fact that we have a new facility (small and humble but very comfortable) and have had for 2 years. We are a small budget organization and we receive no municipal or county support. We totally depend on donations to keep up our good work. We accept all donations of food, bedding, litter, or anything else that folks like to give us. Of course, monetary contributions are very much needed and are fully tax deductible.
