My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bosco is the last pup left from the 12 Aussie/German Shepherd puppies we received back in mid-November. Bosco has been what we call the shy one of the litter (there is always 1 in a litter). He will sniff fingers and will tolerate being picked up by the staff he knows. Bosco is a dog that will need a helper dog in his new home to make sure he settles into a home. He will likely flourish over time with being part of a pack, lots of love, consistent training. Bosco has been doing great on his training to potty outside when let out several times a day into the play yard but he will need training in his new home to make sure he continues to do well. Bosco has no issue with cats (at least the cats that we have on the TRACS property). This handsome pup is up to date on his vaccines, dewormed, neutered and has been microchipped! Adoption fee is $200. If interested in Bosco, please fill out an adoption application (link found on the homepage of the TRACS website) and an adoption specialist will be in contact with you very shortly!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees do vary depending on the animal and all pets go to new owners already spayed and neutered, vaccinated and wormed. All adopters are given a two week adoption trial with an exchange guarantee if the animal does not work out. We require a completed adoption application, which is on line on our website, and a signed care contract. All pets go out with a copy of their signed agreement and a copy of their medical record. Fees for adult cats are $60-75 and kittens are $75. Fees for dogs are $125 to $200 for adult mixed breed up to $300 for purebred, small dog puppies.

Go meet their pets

TRACS offers appointments daily 1-5 PM during the week excluding Mondays to see and meet adoptable pets. Tracs also adopts cats and kittens from Petsmart in Missoula, Montana. We have adoption days for dogs and cats at Petsmart additionally about 6 times a year. We also attend annual adoption events in the Missoula and Kalispell areas of Montana.

More about this rescue

TRACS has been in operation for 7 years and we have taken in and adopted out 3000 animals (as of 11/1/2013). We are mostly volunteers and pride ourselves on the fact that we have a new facility (small and humble but very comfortable) and have had for 2 years. We are a small budget organization and we receive no municipal or county support. We totally depend on donations to keep up our good work. We accept all donations of food, bedding, litter, or anything else that folks like to give us. Of course, monetary contributions are very much needed and are fully tax deductible. TRACS is a 501c3 organization
