Here's what the humans have to say about me:
And the winner of the 2023 Best Dog in the Rescue Award (that we just made up) is......Carrie!
She has style! She has grace! She has beauty! She has brains! Put a crown on that head and behold the queen!
Queen Carrie is a mixed breed dog who is around 3 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. She adores the people in her life and truly wants to be a part of a real family! Easy to train, Carrie is willing to learn and eager to please. She enjoys playing with her balls and toys and would make an excellent hiking or jogging buddy.
Queen Carrie's etiquette is hard to beat! She is crate trained, house trained, has good manners and knows which one is her salad fork. And did she also win the title of Miss Congeniality? Yes, she did! Carrie loves other dogs! She enjoys playing in a pack and has helped welcome many dogs into her foster home!
We adore Queen Carrie and know that there is a wonderful family out their whose presence she can grace!
A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Carrie, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other "slow to adopt" dogs!
Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
