My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darcie is such a funny girl. She loves to expand her horizons by exploring her environment and discover new territory. She’s the leader of her litter, teaching her siblings to be bold and fearless. She loves to meet new people or any other animals and always wants to play with them. She’s the first one up in the morning and will jump on her sisters to wake them up.

Although she's very young, Darcie goes to the door and barks until we open the door for her. She’s also the first to come to us when we call, running joyfully with a big smile on her face. Darcie is extremely intelligent and has a the potential to become a wonderful service and/or guard dog.

Darcie is being fostered in Ajijic, Mexico, and will be available for adoption locally or in the United States or Canada once she has completed her veterinary protocol.

We post our dogs on our website, Petfinder, and on our Facebook page. All queries are directed to fill out an adoption application.

The potential adopter is welcome to discuss the dog with the dog's foster home before proceeding with the adoption.

More about this rescue

Bone Voyage is a non-profit rescue group created to send Mexican dogs north to better homes. We work with the local shelters and with people in the Lake Chapala area that have many street dogs in their care.

We also assist individuals that find street dogs and don’t know what to do with them. We are all volunteers working together to try to minimize the amount of homeless dogs in the area.
