Their adoption process
You will be asked to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/dh-adoption) and allow a home visit to ensure the pet is a good fit for your home/lifestyle.
We are primarily a placement service, so the adoption fees vary depending on each pet and what caretakers have invested medically and behaviorally to ensure they are adoption-ready.

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- We are 100% volunteer/foster based, so we do ask that you complete an adoption application in order for us to schedule a phone interview.
- Interview
- After reviewing your application, we'll contact you to determine if dog is a good fit for your lifestyle and home.
- Approve Application
- We check vet and personal references to ensure previous dogs were well cared for, so please be thorough in providing this info.
- Home Check
- This enables the dog to get to know you and your home and for us to suggest anything they may need to be successful in your home.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- You would also pay the fee at this time, however, we offer a 2 week trial period before cashing your check. We will always take dogs back.

Doggie Harmony is a metro-Atlanta dog rescue group focused on finding the right homes for dogs in foster care or belonging to owners who wish to re-home them. Our core objective is to place these dogs before they are turned over to animal control facilities, where they may be euthanized. Lastly, Doggie Harmony supports spay/neuter, wellness, and training to help keep or place dogs. This includes helping people find low cost resources and/or lending financial support where there's a qualified need.
