Meet Pippa, a mixed breed youngster that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/23/2023 and therefore has been a shelter resident for 4+ months. She communicated to me that she is ready to move on with her life! She weighs 43 pounds and is about 14 months old. Pippa is spayed. My Dog Scanner app indicates she is a mixed breed with perhaps Thai Ridgeback and Canaan Dog in the mix. This is one turbo- charged youngster! During her time at the shelter, she has not gotten outside much, and so when she is in the yard she lets loose and thoroughly enjoys the freedom of being able to run and play and stretch those legs of hers! She walks ok on a leash. She enjoyed going up and down, up and down on the play equipment in the yard. She does jump on you and this is a behavior that needs to be corrected. She loves treats and takes them politely. She is friendly and a-OK with receiving loving attention. She would require daily exercise, playtime and enrichment, and is willing to learn some commands. She has no desire to live outside as a backyard dog. Does this sound like a dog you could take into your heart and home?
