Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bluey got her name because she came to the rescue with very little hair which allowed her unique skin color to show. It is very dark, and it actually looks blue. Over the past couple of months, her hair has grown in beautifully. Bluey came to the rescue in October '23 from a hoard of a few dozen pets. Many times, pets from this type of circumstance are timid and unfriendly, but Bluey is social and very sweet. However, she does need time to warm up as she is very unsure of new people. She is very small and loves to be held, but may not be ideal for small children that might not understand her small size and fragility. Bluey can be vocal at times, especially when unfamiliar people enter the home or when she sees something unfamiliar to her outside.
Due to living with so many other dogs, she will do best in a home with other dogs to play and bond with. She has started heartworm and flea prevention and is eating well. She will gain some weight since she wasn't well nourished previously, but she won't be a big dog. Potty training is currently a work in progress.
If you think Bluey would be a great forever pet for your home, please submit an adoption application and schedule a time to meet her. She is about a year old, she is vaccinated, microchipped, on heartworm and flea prevention, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400. **LOCAL ADOPTIONS ONLY--CENTRAL INDIANA**
