My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My ears are perked, and I am listening passionately. I can hear the birdies chirping from the tree outside my window and I enjoy the musical sounds.

I love listening to sounds, especially the sounds of voices. Staff, guests, and volunteers often croon softly to me, and I perk my ears up and listen attentively to show how much I love the attention. And I do love attention!

My favorite pastimes are walking by those birdies on beloved walks outdoors, pumpkin treats, and Nyla bones with a dash of peanut butter.

Stop in and visit me and watch my ears perk up at the sound of your voice! I am a dashing 4-year-old boy with a physique just shy of 70 lbs. Ask for Logan!

All adoptions must be done in person. Prospective adopters must meet the pet and complete the adoption application and questionnaire during the initial visit to our shelter at 2802 W Central Park Ave, Davenport, IA.

The Humane Society of Scott County (HSSC) has been an advocate for the humane care of all animals in Scott County, Iowa, since 1902.

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.

The HSSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization funded entirely by donations, adoption fees and a fee charged to the city and county for the care of the animals.
