My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’re looking for a goofy, fun-loving girl with a joyful personality, look no further than the adorable Keisha!

Here at the Adoption Center, Keisha has quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite! She’s always ready to make friends, accept treats, receive belly rubs or show you her favorite stuffed toy. She loves to chase tennis balls and toys during playtime, and she’ll always greet new people with a tail wag and a smile.

Once playtime is over, Keisha will be ready to rest and relax. Some may call her a couch potato, but Miss Keisha doesn’t like to limit herself—she also loves beds, soft blankets, pillow forts and anything soft and comfy! She is ready to thrive in a home that can give her stability, attention, and plenty of love.

  • Keisha loves everyone she meets and is sure to make you laugh!
  • Children may be new for her, so a Matchmaker can help you explore if she’s the match you’re looking for!
  • Keisha shows interest in other dogs but is still learning to speak their language appropriately.
  • A Matchmaker can speak to you about Keisha’s medical needs.

If you’re ready for Keisha to fill your days with laughter and love, click the “Adopt Me” button and fill out an application here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/88a2e65d-e1f3-4886-a82c-d8101577f65f

*The ASPCA Adoption Center encourages a $150 suggested adoption fee when adopting an animal. This suggested adoption fee allows the ASPCA to continue our lifesaving work and help even more animals in need. We are grateful for any and all amounts given at the time of adoption.*

**The ASPCA is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the community, the animals in our care and our staff, and we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the COVID-19 crisis as they evolve. As such, the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City is currently closed for in-person visitors. However, we are excited to offer remote adoptions using video conferencing! In-person meet-and-greets are also sometimes available or required for specific animals. Please check out our available cats and dogs above, and if one catches your eye, apply directly for him or her. An ASPCA Matchmaker will let you know if the animal you are interested in adopting is eligible for or requires an in-person meet-and-greet.

Please note: Adoption applications are handled in the order they are received and submitting an adoption survey does not constitute a hold or guaranteed adoption. You can expect to receive automated emails updating you on your adoption status as our Matchmakers go through applications. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you find your match!**

More about this shelter

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world. Our organization was founded by Henry Bergh in 1866 on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans, and must be protected under the law. Headquartered in New York City, the ASPCA maintains a strong local presence, and with programs that extend our anti-cruelty mission across the country, we are recognized as a national animal welfare organization. We are a privately funded 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, and proud to boast more than 1 million supporters across the country.
