My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Meek, the wise and loving 11-year-old mixed breed companion who's looking for a special place to call home. Despite his age, Meek's heart is full of affection and warmth, and he's ready to share it with the perfect person.

Personality:
Meek may come across as a bit reserved at first, but underneath that gentle exterior is a dog eager to form a deep bond with a caring human. With a patient and loving environment, he'll show his true, affectionate self.

Special Care Needs:
Meek has been diagnosed with kidney failure, a condition that requires ongoing treatment and a special diet. The good news is that his condition can be managed, and to make it easier for you, we are willing to cover some of the cost of his treatment.

Perfect Home:
For Meek, a peaceful and calm home is the key to happiness. He thrives in an environment with no children and no other pets, ensuring that he can be the center of your world, receiving all the love and attention he deserves.

Adoption Details:
If you're ready to provide Meek with the loving home he deserves, please contact us at adoptions@angelsofassisi.org. Our dedicated team will provide you with more information and help set up a meet-and-greet with Meek.

By opening your heart and home to Meek, you're offering a wonderful senior dog the chance for a comfortable and loving retirement. Your compassion will be rewarded with Meek's unwavering love and companionship, creating a bond that'll bring joy to your life every day. 🐕💖🏡

Additional adoption info

Find the pet for you at the Adoption Center:
Angels of Assisi’s adoption center is open from 12-6pm, 7 days a week. Adoption Specialists and Volunteer Ambassadors are eager to help you find the pet that would fit best in your family.

Adoptable Pets in Foster Homes:
Some of our available pets are currently in foster homes. If an animal is currently in a foster home, it is noted in the animal's biography online. To meet a pet in foster care, please fill out a non-binding adoption application, and the foster parent will contact you to schedule a meet and greet once the application has been approved (generally within 24 hours).

Found the perfect addition to your family? Now what?
The next step is to fill out an adoption application. You can complete and application online (preferred) or stop by the adoption center to fill out a paper application. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent your home, we will need to contact your landlord or see a copy of your lease to verify the pet policy. Most applications can be approved within 24-48 hours.

Taking Your New Pet Home
After paying the adoption fee and pending the approval of your application, you may take your new pet home immediately. Adoption fees may vary and can be found on our website at:
