My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tommy is an attractive, fabulous long haired gentleman who just wants a lap to lay on. He loves to spread out his long body on a comfy bed and nap for most of the day, but he also thrives off pets and human attention. He would be the perfect companion cat for someone looking for one cat for the rest of their lives.

Though Tommy is diabetic, we know he will thrive outside of the shelter environment. Diabetic cats require a stable diet of special food and daily shots of insulin to support healthy glucose levels. Once their diabetes is managed, these sweet cats have the same demands as other felines - a cozy bed, regular pets and a sunspot. Please contact us if you'd like to learn more about fostering or adopting one of our diabetic cats like Tommy.

More about this rescue

Established in 1982, We Care Animal Rescue is a no-kill sanctuary and shelter for homeless animals in the heart of Napa Valley. Our residents live and roam freely in communal spaces with safe access to the outdoors.

Our staff ensures animals receive daily socialization, enrichment activities, and veterinary care — particularly the elderly and those with special needs. We provide a forever home for all our animals, either through adoption to the public or with us in our sanctuary.
