Cagney an approximately 1-year-old, 12-lb. Yorkshire Terrier mixed with possible dachshund. This cutie pie is a great companion who loves to cuddle and give kisses. She wants to be in the same room as her person. She sleeps under her foster mom’s desk during the today and prefers to sleep in the big bed with everyone at night. She is smart, easy-going, and ignores the house cat. She enjoys sunning outside, loves to explore and romps around the backyard with her housemates. She loves toys - every day she takes a new selection of doggie toys out of the toy baskets. Then she picks the perfect one for the day. So far, she doesn’t reverse the process and put them back in the basket though! She is nervous in new situations, but each day she gets more comfortable with her surroundings. Once comfortable, she has a lot of energy, and her personality shines all day long. She is housebroken as long as she is allowed frequent breaks outside. She was trained to use puppy pads in her previous home. She rides well in the car and likes watching the world go by. She walks well on a leash and loves the adventure of a walk. Her former owner says she is great with kids. If you want someone to do a happy dance every time you come home, Cagney is the girl for you. She loves to run with her foster siblings in the backyard so we are hoping for a fenced outside space for her. Cagney will need frequent brushing and regular grooming to keep her coat mat-free.
