My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Jordy!

This little guy came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services where he was playing a little too rough for a shelter environment. Paired with his best pal Shaun, this handsome boy is unstoppable!

Jordy loves to get the zoomies, oftentimes "revving" up his purrs right before take off. He loves to play fetch and carry his fuzzy ball all around. If you're eating, prepare for Jordy to be right on your lap waiting to get a bite of whatever he can (he will absolutely try to grab your spoon). When he's not on the hunt for a snack, you can find Jordy snoozing hard on our desks, or sunbathing by the windows. He's pretty adaptive to new environments and is beginning harness-training!

Jordy would do fine in a home with cat-savvy dogs but please be mindful that he can be feisty at first, so proper introductions will be required. Jordy's preferred family is adult adopters, or families with older children as he can be more independent.

Jordy is currently at our adoptions location inside Pet Food Express at the Crossroads in Carmel. Meet and greets can be scheduled once your online application has been received and approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for an online application.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
