My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Friends to the Forlorn

Adopt-a-Bull

Name: Layla
Approx. Age: 8 years
Breed: Pitbull Mix
Sex: Female
Location: Stone Mountain, GA

RESCUING LAYLA
Layla was found, alone in a crate with a letter attached. The letter read “Hello, my name is Layla. I am 8 years old, and my owner lost his home. I was loved for 8 years. He is truly sorry to do this to me. He tried no kill shelters, but no one would take me. I am a good girl that prefers male dogs over females. I’m laid back. Please don’t have me killed.” She is on to a better life after her FREEDOM RIDE on 4/4/22.

ABOUT LAYLA
Layla is just the sweetest! She seems to be a laid-back girl- a total couch potato. She is already housebroken, and crate trained. Layla is a rockstar around dogs and kids, but would enjoy a house better without cats. She walks well on a leash and is used to leash walking for potty breaks but will pull to get back inside on her couch.  She seems to be doing well with her foster siblings. She is food motivated (almost too much as she easily packs on the pounds) and loves to please her owners! Layla loves to chew on bones and lay on comfy beds, but her favorite is the couch of course.  She does fine in a crate as long as she has a comfy spot.  She is a true velcro dog too.  She would love a low-key family and does not need a lot of exercise; she just wants affection! Is that your family who can give her the affection and love that she needs?

ADOPTING LAYLA
Layla is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and microchipped. She is on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative. She is eating premium grain-free dry dog food. Her adoption fee is $300. More about this rescue

Friends to the Forlorn Pitbull Rescue is a 501 c 3 no-kill, charitable organization dedicated to the care of homeless, unwanted, abused, and neglected pitbulls, particularly those who are considered hard to place or with special needs. All dogs under our care are provided with food, shelter, veterinary care, as well as basic house-training and obedience until placement is found. We will try to match the dog and appropriate, loving, and permanent home based on the dog's temperament & personality evaluation as well as the prospective home's vet & home check. Veterinary care provided will ensure that the dog is in general good health, up-to-date on vaccinations, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

Additionally,"Friends to the Forlorn" Pitbull Rescue Inc. takes pride in educating the public in the importance of proper and responsible pitbull ownership, spaying & neutering, as well as the humane care and treatment of all animals.
