My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking to add more sunshine to your house?? If so, meet Sunny, a 55 pound, 1.5 yr old, Husky/Doberman mix. This beautiful lady is looking for a home with an active family, a yard with 6 ft. fence and an active doggy friend to play with. She is dog friendly, cat friendly, but her foster home is kid free, so it is unknown how she would be around children.

Sunny is fully potty trained, doesn't like being crated- and has been fine without, knows a few tricks, and could uses a bit of leash training. Sunny's overall behavior is described as: "She is energy plus...would make a great running or walking partner. She is affectionate and loves to cuddle up to her people to sleep, always laying her head on her sleeping partner." If you believe your home is the perfect spot for this drop of Sunny, follow the link below to find the needed ADOPTION APPLICATION.

**PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must live within an hour radius of Toledo, Ohio

*Sunny is spayed, microchipped, current on shots, and on monthly preventatives for heartworm/fleas
*Her adoption fee is $100.00
*Visit the link below to find the ADOPTION APPLICATION needed to help Sunny find her place to shine.

Additional adoption info

Dogworks strives to place dogs into permanent homes based on the dogs' personalities and yours. To adopt a dog, we require a completed application, signed adoption contract, and home visit.

Adoption applications are available on our website (www.dogworksohio.com) and at all Meet & Greets. Once your application has been submitted, we will contact your references and consider suitability. You will be contacted by phone or email, typically within 4 business days, to discuss arrangements for adoption contract and home visit.

Adoption fees are variable (typically $125-$250) and are listed with the description of each dog. Adoption fee will be refunded if you decide that the dog is not compatible with your family within 2 weeks.

Adopted dogs must be returned to Dogworks in the event that they can no longer remain a member of your household for any reason.

All dogs have been updated on vaccines and tested for heartworm prior to adoption. Adult dogs and puppies older than 14 weeks are spayed/neutered. Adopters of younger puppies are required to sign an agreement to complete spay/neuter by 6 months of age. We will assist with spay/neuter costs. Adopters will receive a copy of medical records.

More about this rescue

Dogworks is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group based in Toledo, OH, whose purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, neglected, and unwanted dogs. Our focus has been on sporting dogs, both purebreds and mixed breeds. Most dogs are rescued from euthanizing shelters, although some come to us from relinquishing owners or other means. All dogs are fostered in volunteer homes until adoption. We do not have a shelter or kennel facility.
