This handsome pair of best friends (Timber & Blackie) were surrendered by their owner on November 5, 2023 because their landlord would not allow the boys to stay in the rental property.
Timber (pictured on the left) is a 9-month old male Shepherd mix. He has a tan coat with white/cream highlights on his chest, a long curled tail, and a beautiful Shepherd face with dark brown eyes, black shading on his muzzle, and short floppy ears. Timber weighs 56 lbs.
Blackie (pictured on the right) is a 9-month old male Black Labrador Retriever mix. He has a sleek black coat with a small patch of white on his chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with expressive brown eyes, a slender muzzle, and large semi-erect ears. Blackie weighs 51 lbs.
These boys appear to be very bonded with each other and are currently sharing a kennel so that they may provide a sense of comfort/security for each other.
Timber and Blackie had a lot to talk about when they were in their kennel and were and were a bit intimidating. They were obviously two frightened youngsters who showed their fear by putting up a brave front .. But when HSOV Volunteer John Tynan and HSOV Humane Officer Fredley Tynan spent a little time getting acquainted with them, they were happy to accompany them outdoors for their Petfinder/Facebook photos late in the afternoon on November 5, 2023.
We will provide additional information about Timber & Blackie when it becomes available, and we will also post individual photos of these good-looking guys.
UPDATE: Their previous owner told us that Blackie & Timber were good with the one child whom they had been around and that they were good with other dogs (but skittish around cats). They had been kept indoors and were housebroken.
Blackie & Timber are being listed as a bonded pair.
