Their adoption process
Our adoption process starts with submitting an Adoption Application which can be found on our website at www.safehaventn.com. From there you will be contacted by one of our Adoption Coordinators. Our adoption donations are usually $150 for adult dogs and $200 - $300 for puppies - depending on the animal, breed, etc. We expect that our pets will live indoors, and will be adopted to families who have the desire to add another family member to their home. A vet reference is required.
Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationFirst step in our process is to submit an application through our website. They are reviewed and we contact those who could be a good match
- InterviewPhone interview to get more information about you, your family and tell you more about the pup(s) you are interested in.
- Approve ApplicationOnce we approve an application, we set the status of the pup to "Adoption Pending" and schedule a home visit and meet and greet.
- Home CheckWe arrange a meet and greet and home visit if within distance. If all goes well we will finalize adoption at the end of this meeting.

Safe Haven Puppy Sanctuary is an all volunteer based non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill rescue. Safe Haven Puppy Sanctuary is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of abandoned and orphaned puppies. Every dog in our program is current on shots and either spayed or neutered prior to adoption, on heart worm prevention, flea and tick prevention and micro chipped.
