Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This tiny bundle of happiness is Peggy! She is 9 years old and weighs 5 lbs.
All of her life, Peggy has been used for breeding, but that life changed the day she became a Misfit. Miss Peggy is an absolute doll! Honestly, you would never guess upon meeting her that she has lived her entire life in a breeding facility. She is a little shy at first, but then is quick to warm up and her personality sparkles!
Peggy is a senior lady, and while she lives with several foster siblings, all much younger than her, Peggy’s ideal home is a quiet one; a home where she can simply nap beside her human as much or as little as she likes. A soft blanket, a warm bed, and this girl will nuzzle right in and sleep until you make her move. Don’t worry though, she still has a lot of spunk and she likes to talk to her foster mom about the day’s events – and her talking is the cutest little gremlin sound you will ever hear.
Peggy’s life before coming to the rescue wasn’t what we would choose for a dog, but all of that is behind her now. As a puppy she lost a foot on one back leg, but it does not affect her or slow her down one bit! She also had to recently undergo a dental procedure which left her with only 2 two – her two front teeth at that! She only eats wet food anyway, so again, nothing that affects her. She never lived a life in a home and has just started being introduced to potty training. She will need a family who can help her learn house training. She loves to run around outside! But since she didn't experience the life of a normal dog, she hasn't done well with leashes and would need a home with a fenced in yard to help keep her safe and at home. Peggy does have a heart murmur that she takes a daily medication for and will require it for the rest of her life.
Peggy is looking for a forever home where she can finally enjoy the love and care she deserves. She does well with dogs and cats, but she’s a little old lady that would prefer to retire in a little bit of a quieter home environment. If you’re ready to give her a place in your heart, please inquire to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt her at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application!
Peggy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped.
