My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Speedy is not just your typical dog; he's the drooliest goofball with a personality as big as his head (which is saying something!). His foster describes him as a happy-go-lucky dog with an incredible sense of humor. He loves nothing more than going for walks, exploring the backyard, and investigating every little thing that piques his curiosity. From watching butterflies to snuggling up at the end of the day, Speedy is a bundle of joy.

Despite his strength and size, Speedy is as gentle as can be. He adores giving kisses and is an expert ear nibbler. He might be a bit cautious around new people at first, but once he gives them a sniff of approval (which he usually does), he's all in for the cuddles. Even with little ones, like the neighborhood kids curious about him, Speedy remains calm and collected. He's learning to stay calm around passing dogs and bikes, with some occasional excitement. Training is ongoing, and he's proving to be a quick learner.

Speedy is a smart cookie who's eager to please. He's making great progress with cues like sit and stay, especially when it's time to put on his harness and leash. He's also got potty training down and is comfortable spending time in his crate with a tasty treat or a fun toy.

Speedy is a playful pup who loves nothing more than a game of fetch with tennis balls or sticks. He's also a tug-of-war champion, though be prepared for some serious slobber action! Tough chew toys are also high on his list of favorites.

With his loving, goofy nature, Speedy would make a fantastic addition to any family that's ready for fun, love, and plenty of snuggles. Whether it's romping around the backyard or curling up on the couch, Speedy just wants to be part of the action.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who's guaranteed to bring laughter and love into your home, Speedy might just be the perfect match for you! For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.

I hope to meet you soon!

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
