Meet Jasper! This handsome 85lb, 4-year-old hound mix is looking for his forever home. He loves to go for his walks and loves your attention. Jasper can be shy, and it takes him a bit to warm up to new people. Little people make him nervous so a home with no children would be ideal for him.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Go to our website at www.humanesocietyofcalvertcounty.org and fill out an application. Once we do our reviews, we will call you for a meet.

2.
Meet the Pet

We will do a background check, home check using Google Earth and ensure that the application would be a good fit for our dog.

3.
Take the Pet Home

If everything checks out and you don't have other dogs requiring a meet & greet be scheduled, you will be able to adopt the dog that day.

Additional adoption info

If a potential adopter has other animals in the household, we will schedule a meet & greet to ensure that all get along.

We are a no-kill 501 (c)( 3) non-profit that rescues dogs at risk of euthanasia. We bring them in, fully vet them, microchip them and find them their forever homes.
