We have a laundry basket FULL of adorable hound mix puppies who are ready to start their new lives—and yes, they are as irresistible.

Meet Cheddar, Swiss, Gouda, Mozzarella, and Brie! Because let’s be honest… who doesn’t love cheese—especially when it comes with puppy kisses and wiggly tails?! 😍

⚖️ Currently averaging 12–13 pounds

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Go to our website at www.humanesocietyofcalvertcounty.org and fill out an application. Once we do our reviews, we will call you for a meet.

2.
Meet the Pet

We will do a background check, home check using Google Earth and ensure that the application would be a good fit for our dog.

3.
Take the Pet Home

If everything checks out and you don't have other dogs requiring a meet & greet be scheduled, you will be able to adopt the dog that day.

Additional adoption info

If a potential adopter has other animals in the household, we will schedule a meet & greet to ensure that all get along.

We are a no-kill 501 (c)( 3) non-profit that rescues dogs at risk of euthanasia. We bring them in, fully vet them, microchip them and find them their forever homes.
