My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Leo Affectionately known as "Leery Leo! He may initially seem a bit hesitant, but do not let that fool you! Leo's true nature shines when he is around other dogs. He gets along splendidly with his furry companions and is often chosen to help newcomers acclimate to their surroundings in his foster home. His ability to create a sense of comfort and security is exceptional.
Leo's ideal home would be one where his unique needs are understood and respected. When it comes to human interaction, Leo still has some reservations. However, he has shown progress and can take treats from a patient and still person. A patient and compassionate individual, experienced in working with feral dogs, will be the perfect match for Leo.

If you are ready to open your heart and home to a special dog like Leo, please contact Natalie today at 864-981-9337.
Leo is a 3-year-old medium mixed breed. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. A secure and fenced-in yard is required for adoption.

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
