My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke knows he’s the talk of the town—he’s got that cool, effortless vibe that just can’t be ignored. With his quirky, offbeat movements and some seriously stylish hair, he’s a total character who’ll keep you guessing and laughing. Duke thrives when he has someone to look up to-- someone who can build a deep, meaningful bond with him. Whether it’s brain games, long walks, agility, or training fun, he’s always up for a new challenge. He’s got a soft spot for the ladies and loves hanging out with his canine friends Eve and Oshi, though his heart truly belongs to the person who’s ready to connect with him on a deeper level. With Duke, you’re adopting a companion who’s as loyal as he is fun, and who will keep life anything but ordinary.

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
