FOSTERED IN: Adoption Center - Frankfort, IL 60423
ESTIMATED DOB: November 2020
COLOR/BREED: White w/ black Shorthair
KIDS: Likely
DOGS: Likely
CATS: Likely
HISTORY:
Dolly was adopted out as a kitten with her sibling, but years later, her sibling began to bully her and she developed cystitis from the stress. Since being returned and kept in a calm, peaceful environment, Dolly no longer has urinary issues and has been cleared for adoption by our vet. In order to keep her happy and healthy, she is seeking a quieter household where she can be the only pet or she can share a home with gentle, respectful animals.
ABOUT:
You might have met some cuddly cats in the past, but they all pale in comparison to our snuggly girl, Dolly! Just have a seat and she will promptly jump onto your lap and literally burrow her face sweetly into your neck while making happy biscuits with her paws on your chest. If you happen to be wearing something fuzzy, she will start suckling on the fabric like a pacifier until she falls asleep. She is truly a good-natured, affectionate gal who is very easy to love!
Not only does she make for an excellent companion to relax on the couch with, she also has a good amount of energy and will excitedly engage in playtime with you (especially wand type toys). This athletic girl loves to climb and explore, so she hopes her future home has lots of cat towers (or even better - kitty wall shelves that she can conquer!).
Dolly did previously share a home with some senior cats and a dog, and did well with them, so she should do fine in a home with laid back, low energy animals that would not pick on her, but she'd also thrive as an only pet.

More about this rescue
Lulu’s Locker Rescue is a nonprofit, volunteer-run companion animal rescue working to bring to light the plight of black cats and dogs in shelters as well as the misconceptions surrounding FIV cats. We aim to lower the euthanasia rate of these animals by educating the public and providing foster care as we seek out permanent homes. We are committed to the protection of the misjudged and wrongly stereotyped through compassion and respect, which we believe both animals and human beings deserve.
We are based out of Frankfort, IL, and rescue cats and dogs in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
