My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Andi is a total sweetheart. She is low key, VERY affectionate once she feels safe and with a bit of confidence will grow into a spectacular family member. She does great with all of the other dogs in her foster's home and is simply adorable! She is a gentle spirit - this girl is special!

Andi does great on car rides and sleeps in her crate or doggie bed at night. She is dog friendly to small dogs, male dogs, and can be female selective like she did fine with a scared female husky but did not like a dominant female heeler. Cats are unknown as she has not been cat tested. She is friendly to all people. Her activity level is medium. She enjoys walks but also enjoys snuggles and cuddles. She walks well on a leash but is not trained off leash without a fenced back yard. She would be a good hiking partner. She knows sit, stay, come, walk on a leash, and off for not jumping on her humans. She is learning Down for lay down. She literally barks so rarely, her foster can count on one hand how many times she has barked since she has been her foster (3 months now).

Andi is crate trained and house trained. She is not destructive inside or outside of her foster's home. She was heartworm positive but has been through all her treatments including heartworm injections and has sailed through them with no issues and no complications. She is on monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea and tick prevention. Andi is a 3 year old spayed female Great Pyrenees mix. She weighs 65lbs. She is up to date on all her shots.

Her best home would be a family who loves to love her, exercises her, has a fenced yard (at least 6ft fence), and is home a lot - she just thrives on attention. She likes to give kisses and likes it when her humans talk with her. She is a gorgeous, sweet gal and has the most spectacular coat making her really stand out. She likes to roam but does not escape an intact fence. Any holes or missing boards or gates left open and she will get out but that is her instinct and breed. She does not actively try to escape. She is an absolute love looking for her forever Family!!!

She is being fostered in Fort Worth, TX but can have her brought to the Houston area for adoption.

She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations.
