Meet Lilyanne
Once upon a time, in a big, dusty yard full of hard rocks and mud puddles, I, a little pitty pup named Lily, sat all alone. My once-shiny fur was a tangle of messiness, and the echoes of strange sounds filled the cold air. It was a lonely place, and I wished for someone to notice me. Even though I'm 58lbs, I'm still a pup at 10mths old.
Then, one magical day, footsteps echoed through the yard. I was a bit scared of large creatures that walked on their hind legs, but they smelled like they were nice! The “hoomans” scooped me up and took me to a nice warm place and gave me something they called a bath that made me feel so good!.
In my new home, I got a fluffy bed and plenty of playtime. This new house even had other dogs and small humans that I could play with! The humans gave me yummy treats made my tail wag with joy, and I’ve been learning to go potty outside and enjoy sleeping in my crate at night. My fur is nice and shiny now, but I still have a few marks on my skin from the before-time that my hoomans say give me character.
I’ve discovered the joy of playing with toys and the happiness of having buddies to share treats with. My new hoomans are teaching me how to walk around with a leash, and that allows me to go on even more exciting adventures!
I’m hoping to find my furever home and continue my exciting new life! Applications at Bigloverescue.org.

Additional adoption info
We are extremely thorough with our adoption process. Our goal is to find the best fit for our dogs. We reserve the right to deny anyone a dog if we feel the applicant is not qualified or is not a good fit for the dog at our discretion. We require two personal references that we call to check character and get a recommendation on why or why not the applicant is a good candidate. Also, we call the vet reference to be sure the applicants current dog is current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. The home check is mandatory to be sure the applicant lives where they say they live and the pet will live in a safe environment.
