My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This wiggle butt couch potato is as sweet as they come. She radiates resilience, happiness and positivity. Cannoli loves walks, a good car ride and would be happy to be your little co-pilot.  She has a big smile on her face as long as she is with the one she loves.  So pop her in the car when you are on the go; she is so happy to hang with you! She also loves pup cups :).

Cannoli wants to be the queen of her castle, though she would be perfectly fine to share fence lines with other dogs. Her ideal home has a fully fenced yard, so she can zoomie and sunbathe... getting in all the stop drop and rolls in the grass that she can. And when the fall leaves and pile up, just let Noli be Cannoli...she'll dive right in, be completely buried and pop out with the biggest smile!

Cannoli happily shares her toys with you, walks well on leash, and is crate trained, though doesn’t need to be crated. Cannoli also has superb recall, is house trained, and non-destructive in the home.  She is a master of negotiations for the right cookie and is a foodie 100%!  She would make an excellent chef de partie and will happily and politely manage the crumb clean up station.

Noli's DOB (11/06/2020).  As part of Cannoli's $125 (50% off) adoption fee, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Cannoli, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

1. Review the description of the pet you are interested in to make sure that the information we have fits with your particular needs and desires. In most cases, the information on the website is current and gives the information that we have about the particular pet. The picture of the pet does not tell the whole story.

2. Complete the adoption application. Please make sure that you give us as much information about yourself as you can. List all animals currently living with you including other dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and rodents. The application needs to be complete in order to help us determine if the pet you have chosen is a good match for your home. http://pawsforlifenc.org/pet-adoptions/apply-for-adoption/

3. Once the application is submitted we will contact you, your references, and your vet.

4. We require a home visit prior to dog adoptions.

5. If more than one person applies, we will go with the BEST fit. If all things are equal, we go in the order the applications were received.

6. Once the home visit has been completed, you will be asked to complete an adoption agreement.

7. An adoption fee of $275 for dogs under 6 months $250 for 6 months and older and $95 for cats, Senior Cats $50. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the pets while in foster care.

8. All Paws For Life pets are spayed or neutered if old enough, current on shots, micro chipped, and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out. Puppies under 6 months of age will require a $100 spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee and a special puppy spay/neuter agreement. We are all volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for our work with the pets. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the pets.

9. Congratulations! You are on your way to having your new companion. We hope that you and your new companion share a life of love and happiness. We welcome any comments you may wish to give us about your pet at any time.
