My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy (fka Noelle) is a fun sweet energetic almost 8 mos old BC mix. Maybe with Lab, Heeler or Sighthound. She is about 34#, loves other dogs, was curious about but friendly with the foster cat, and loves to go on walkies and hiking. Poppy can be a little shy at first but it doesn't last long. Poppy is looking for an active home with another younger friendly dog to play with, a fenced in backyard to run around, and humans who are not gone long hours. She is learning some basic cues. She has not been tested with children but a respectful older child 10+ should be fine as she does jump some. She is a sweet puppy who likes to cuddle but also is ready to play at a moment’s notice. She does have a nice off switch when needed. She is crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps through the night if she potties right before bedtime. She may need a refresher in a new home with a new routine. If you are interested in meeting Poppy, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Poppy is spayed, utd on vaccs, and chipped. Her adoption fee is $400 and we are not doing any out of state adoptions.

More about this rescue

CO Corgis and Friends is a 501 c3 dog Rescue (specializing in Corgis and other lowrider breeds) that was formed in late 2019 by a group of Corgi loving people who not only love and understand the Corgi breed, but love all other dogs as well. The founding members have over 100+ years of experience owning Corgis and 50+ years in Rescue. It is our pleasure to help homeless dogs in need, help struggling owners rehome their pets, and offer advice on training issues typical of this herding breed. Please feel free to contact us to see if we can help!
Our mission is to help find Corgis and other breeds loving forever homes, share our knowledge of the Corgi breed through outreach and education, help reduce the pet population by promoting spay/neuter, and educating the community about responsible pet care and relationships.
