My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Josie. I am a 75#, spayed, 2 yr old female Pyrenees. I’m so excited to find my perfect forever family! I came into the shelter in TX when my owners moved into an apartment and couldn’t take me with them. I was lucky to make it out and land a foster family here in CO! My foster parents call me “cuddle bug” ❤️

My favorite activities include going for walks to sniff all the things, roaming the back yard, and snuggling with my family! My foster mom is helping me to learn I can snuggle but still respect personal space of everyone. I just get so excited! I enjoy hanging out with my other foster siblings.  I like both the cats (although one doesn’t like me so I avoid her). The other dogs are super tiny next to me (chihuahuas) but I’m gentle and like lying with them and eating treats! And I like my Pyr foster brother. I am still true to my Pyrenees traits of being stubborn, independent, and I take careful watch over all my home! I am housebroken and UTD on vaccines. I require a 6’ wooden enclosed fence. I’m still getting used to walking on wood floors vs carpet but I’m getting much better! I have not been tested with kids but an older respectful child should be ok. If you are interested in meeting me, the first step is to complete the meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. My adoption fee is $375 and we do not adopt out of Colorado.

More about this rescue

CO Corgis and Friends is a 501 c3 dog Rescue (specializing in Corgis and other lowrider breeds) that was formed in late 2019 by a group of Corgi loving people who not only love and understand the Corgi breed, but love all other dogs as well. The founding members have over 100+ years of experience owning Corgis and 50+ years in Rescue. It is our pleasure to help homeless dogs in need, help struggling owners rehome their pets, and offer advice on training issues typical of this herding breed. Please feel free to contact us to see if we can help!
Our mission is to help find Corgis and other breeds loving forever homes, share our knowledge of the Corgi breed through outreach and education, help reduce the pet population by promoting spay/neuter, and educating the community about responsible pet care and relationships.
