Meet Tootsie, an 11-year-young, petite 7lb tuxedo girl, with the cutest face and a very sweet disposition. She starts out a bit shy, but will soon sleep on your tummy and follow you around and call you her person.
Tootsie was a wonderful companion to an older woman who just passed away. She uses her litter box, although occasionally has had an accident on rugs. Sometimes that won’t happen for months, but then it will come up for a few days. :(
We’re unsure how she will behave with other cats or dogs and Tootsie is currently in the temporary care of a friend.
We really want to find Tootsie a good home! She was adopted two years ago after her former human passed away and so this sweet girl has been through this rehoming before. We are so sad for her!
Tootsie has hyperthyroidism and her kidneys are slightly compromised, which is treated with thyroid medicine twice a day, and steroids once a day. She takes her medicine happily within pill pockets. She has special food, Royal Canin D, and she is quite thin as a result of her health issues, which she was adopted with. But we can’t stress this enough, she is very happy and VERY sweet.
Tootsie’s current people are happy to provide a small dowry to help with the cost of medicine and food.
