Batman is a sweetheart! He loves to snuggle! He is a very healthy boy and loves children. He likes to be active! Just going for a long walk and then snuggling would make his day!
He is a puppy so he can pull on the leash occasionally, but nothing uncontrollable!
He does like to jump up on you, but it’s in a very unique, slow fashion way like he just wants to give you a hug. It’s not clawing or anything uncomfortable.

Batman loves children. But remember, he is a puppy so you need to set the boundaries. Cat exposed, but a little too friendly at his age to be left unsupervised as he can possibly be overwhelming to a small cat not used to dogs. He should be under strict supervision with cats until he proves trustworthy to your liking.

Batman would do well in an active home with children. He could be your running buddy, hiking buddy or just a home body as long as he gets regular exercise. Kennel trained and just loves everyone he meets! I don’t know if he is house trained because I take him out every couple of hours, but he has never had an accident in the house or in his kennel. If you need love, he’s got that covered!!!

Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.

If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.

Batman’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. If the dog is too young for a spay/neuter then they will be adopted with a spay/neuter contract and deposit. We do not have a physical shelter; all our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
