My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mahone, the charming canine with a heart of gold and a quirky personality!
This adorable pup may take a little longer to warm up to new people, but fear not, for his stand-offish behavior can easily be melted away with some treats and quality time!

Mahone is a social butterfly when it comes to other furry friends of medium to large sizes. He loves their company and can't resist a good playdate. His compatibility with cats has not been tested.

When it comes to humans, Mahone has a soft spot for the ladies. He's a true gentleman who craves their attention and showers them with love! Men, on the other hand, might need to work a little harder to win him over. But hey, who can resist Mahone's irresistible charm?
This versatile pup is equally happy living indoors or enjoying the great outdoors. He's a nature enthusiast who thrives on outdoor adventures and can't get enough of the sunshine and fresh air. Mahone will be your perfect partner for long walks, hikes, and maybe even a game of fetch or two!

Mahone is no slouch when it comes to learning. He's already started mastering his basic commands and manners, but he'll need a committed family to continue his education and ensure he becomes the epitome of a well-behaved pooch. With a little patience and a lot of love, Mahone will be the talk of the town!

If you're searching for a loyal and lovable companion who's just a tad bit selective, Mahone is your guy. Give this charming pup a chance, and he'll fill your life with endless joy, laughter, and cuddles!

More about this shelter

Animals Are Our Mission

Over 1,100 animals pass through our doors every year. Did you know that the average cost to get our animals ready to be adoptable is roughly $350 per animal? That is because we require our adoptables to be spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated before adopting out.

Population control and disease management are issues in our community that we are working hard to resolve. Your donations help ensure we can continue our mission.

We have an amazing team of hard working staff caring for our animals 7 days a week. They are supported by a group of engaged board members that are focused on bettering our organization.
