My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blanche is growing up to be a sleek and sophisticated house panther. She radiates elegance with her glossy black coat. At 5 months, she continues to be loving, expert snuggler we’ve always known. This girl loves curling up on laps for pets and cozy naps. While all her siblings have found their forever homes, Blanche has formed strong friendships with the other cats in our community room, showcasing her sociable nature.

Compared to her kitten counterparts, Blanche is remarkably chill, preferring laid-back play sessions and leisurely lounging. Her tranquil demeanor adds a sense of calm to the room. Despite her serene disposition, Blanche retains her playful spirit, engaging in bouts of fun with both humans and furry friends.

Blanche's journey is one of resilience and companionship, having overcome the challenges of her early days found in the cargo bed of a moving truck. Alongside her siblings, she demonstrated remarkable strength, emerging unscathed and full of life.

Consider welcoming Blanche into your home, where she promises not only endless charm but also a lifetime of affection and tranquility. Embrace the elegance and warmth she brings, and let her be the calming presence that enriches your days with joy and companionship.

Additional adoption info

We offer "Meet & Greets" by appointment. To schedule an appointment to meet our cats/kittens please go to peterzippifund.org and submit the online adoption application form. A link is located on the right-hand side of our Home Page. Once received, an Adoption Counselor will contact you within 72 hours or less to book your appointment.

Adoption Fee: $125.00

Our fee generally covers everything your new feline friend needs to start their journey with you:

*Spaying or Neutering: Ensuring the well-being of our cats and controlling the pet population.
*Microchipping: A permanent identification method to keep your furry friend safe.
*Vaccinations: Up-to-date vaccines tailored to the specific needs of each cat.
*Fecal Testing and Deworming: A comprehensive approach to intestinal health.
*Viral Testing (FeLV/FIV): Conducted on all adults and most kittens based on their origin.
*Comprehensive Blood Work: For many of our adult cats, ensuring their overall current health.

In addition to all standard treatments outlined above, many of our cats and kittens have received costly treatment for other maladies that result from abandonment or starting life on the streets.

All donations over the adoption fee are tax deductible.

We have an adoption questionnaire to fill out prior to being approved, and a personal interview with an adoption counselor is required; at our discretion, a home visit may be required. Adopters agree to keep cat(s) indoors only and to not declaw.

More about this rescue

In memory of Peter Zippi, a young man dedicated to the care of animals, The Peter Zippi Memorial Fund For Animals was founded in 1977 by Dr. Alice Villalobos. We have adopted out over 14,000 pets (mostly cats) since then. The fund is run by wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly to help those who can't help themselves. The fund sponsors spay/neuter vouchers to qualified persons, and shelter for and adoptions of lost and homeless animals.
