Here's what the humans have to say about me:
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Young and adorable, Little Ebenezer came to us when his folks didn't want him any more. They didn't have the patience for this little guy and it has been obvious that he wasn't always handled kindly. Ebenezer's foster mom said he likes to be loved and cuddled and is always hanging out wherever she is. Because he may not have been handled kindly, when he came to us he could be a bit defensive if he felt threatened. His foster mom's patience and calm handling has worked wonders and this little guy has turned into a real cuddlebug. Although he can cohabitate with other animals, he tends to be possessive of his favorite toys. He would do fine in a home as an only dog as long as he's not left alone for too many hours a day.
Ebenezer seems to love kids - so school age children who are gentle and kind would most likely make him happy. His foster mom will probably keep him unless a home with dog loving children are approved to adopt.
Ebenezer will need an understanding owner who not only wants a cuddly companion, but one who will use positive reinforcement training -- rather than punitive/negative training.
Scheduled for neutering, microchipping, and vaccines on January 2, 2024, Ebenezer will be available for adoption the first week of January. He is on flea/tick/heartworm preventatives.
