My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milo is a handsome, delightful, young retriever mix that is one year old and about 75 pounds. His long, jet black, flat coat, gleams in the sun. He is absolutely stunning. Milo is good with dogs and loves to engage in vigorous play. He is fostered in a home with cats, although he is more playful with them than the cats would like! He will give chase if they run, but will not hurt them. Milo LOVES toys and always carries one in his mouth. He is willing to share his toys or play a rousing game of tug. Milo is extremely intelligent and enjoys learning and training. He is a fast learner and very treat motivated. He is very curious about his surroundings, likes to explore, and is persistent is trying to obtain what he wants. Milo is loyal and values strong bonds with his people, and once this is established, he aims to please. He likes to sit at your feet and be petted and praised. He is incredibly sweet, affectionate and enjoys hugs and snuggles. He is a “leaner” when he greets you. Milo sleeps nicely in a crate at night although he prefers to be in the mix of activity. His leash skills are developing. His ideal home would an active one that values close bonds with their dogs, outdoor fun, and has interest in providing proper dog toys, games, and experiences that exercise his mind and body.
