My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Jackie. I am Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix.   I’m about 2 ½  years old and weigh about 30 lbs.  I was found by a Good Samaritan in his neighborhood in early fall this year.  He contacted Duck Team 6 to help and I became a Duck Dog.    I’ve been living with my Good Samaritan, (now foster) family since then.  It was just me for awhile but my foster Dad found another dog and he joined my foster family.  We play together just fine.  He’s young so he occasionally gets on my nerves but I get over it.

I am very good with children.  I am sweet and very trainable.  My foster Dad says I am super smart and learn quickly.  I am very athletic.  I run and jump and play hard in the back yard.  I would do great herding cattle but that’s probably hard to find in Dallas.   I’m leash trained and crate trained.  I also love to snuggle on the couch with my humans.

I am a sweet girl and I would love to find my "fur"ever home! Please contact placement@duckteam6.org to learn more about me!

More about this rescue

Our niche is rescuing elusive dogs who have been living on the streets of Dallas, Tx. We spend days, weeks and sometimes months trying to catch a certain dog. The dogs then move into loving foster homes so they can be part of a family and learn more about home life. We have found that these dogs are extremely resilient and quickly adapt to life off the streets and make great additions to a family!

The dogs are vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed/neutered and heartworm tested (and treated if positive). We spend a lot of time and energy getting these dogs off the streets so are very diligent in who they go to. We want to make sure it's going to be the ideal fit for both the adopter and the dog. We help them find the loving home they deserved all along! Please visit our facebook page to follow more of our adventures: www.facebook.com/duckteam6
